Dear Chennaites & volunteers, please stay away from the chennai Ennore port oil spill.crude oil contact  causes numerous and significant health issues for children, pregnant women ,and adults Exposure occurs via inhalation,ingestion, and direct skin contact.some of health effects will be long term and may last a lifetime or affect future generation. crude oil is a known teratogen and can cause birth defects and changes in fetal development. 

We want to do bit to help the cause. but we are not equipped with proper layered HAZMAT suits,masks,gloves, boots,decontamination units after clean up or the chemical wash mechanisms and protocols.until the concerned authorities and agencies clear the beaches and the coastline from allpollutants, please  stay away from these places.as a precaution wear masks to prevent any air borne pollutants from affecting you if you happen to reside or travel along the chennai city coastline.
